| Course description | The primary focus of the course will be based upon the concept of the "business community".
The course aims to examine the activities of companies, institutions and governments in the developed market economies of the European Union. Students will develop an understanding of the relationship between government and business in terms of the policy environmnent and in relation to industrial sectors. |

Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
The objectives of the course are for the student to be able to develop an understanding of the relationship between government and business and how this has impacted on current developments within the business community. This understanding will then be applied within a European context in terms of policy environment and industrial sectors.
The course is intended for those contemplating working inside the European Union or for those involved in the market developments of the European Union. The course is a specialist course and is not a general introduction to international business. However students from other departments doing courses on European issues are welcome to join the course. |
