Course description | This module explores some of the important concepts and theories associated with material culture. It will develop your understanding and appreciation of the ways objects and images are negotiated in Western society through tradition, ritual and ideology. Each session is themed around a particular popular cultural practice or ideology that is investigated in relation to the theories and discourses
of Material Culture. |
