Indicative Module Content
The Special Subject is chosen each year from a range of projects offered by outside agencies. These usually involve independent working, literature reviews, thematic surveys, and fieldwork for the client group.
Aims of Module
1. To deepen the understanding of a particular topic in conservation
2. To develop strength in a particular area of conservation.
Additional Notes
Since 2007/8, this module has focused specifically on architectural conservation in World Heritage Sites, with the aim of complementing ACO6001 Area Conservation.

1. Demonstrate detailed knowledge of a particular topic and the literature informing the topic.
2. Display ability to effectively carry out specific project work related to the topic, including (where appropriate) working with outside agencies.
3. Display organisational, verbal and presentational skills appropriate to Special Subject work.
