** Students wishing to take the Geography Dissertation must taken Research Design in Geography (10 credits) and either Quantitative Methods in Geography or Qualitative Methods in Geography (10 credits each) in their 3rd year.
Social Anthropology Core Courses include Kinship:  Structure and Process; Anthropological Theory; Ritual and Religion; and Consumption, Exchange, Technology (these are usually done in third year); and Belief, Thought, and Language; and Culture and Power (these are usually done in fourth year).
††  If planning to submit a Social Anthropology dissertation.
‡ Entry to third year normally requires successful completion of the first two years of the curriculum with marks of 50% or higher in two Geography second level courses at the first attempt and a mark of 50% or higher in Social Anthropology 2, Social & Political Enquiry 2 and Social & Political Theory 2 at the first attempt.
