* If taking the Sociology Project, students are expected to use part of the summer vacation of their third year on research for it.
# Candidates for admission into the third year of study are normally required to have passed all courses (to the required value of 240 credits) not later than June of the second year of study and to have obtained a mark of 50% or above in any history course and a mark of 50% or above in Sociology 2, Social and Political Enquiry 2 and Social and Political Theory 2.
