| One unit of assessment is allocated to every 20 credits and
constitutes one 20-credit paper. The following are the twelve 20-credit
papers on which the classification of the degree is based. (Papers that
for the purposes of degree classification acquire a weighting of 40 credits
are, therefore, listed twice.) |

in a modern foreign language or a classical language at SCE Higher grade
or equivalent evidence of linguistic proficiency is normally required |
| † Entry into Honours normally requires (i) passes in
all six subjects taken in the first two years, and (ii) a mark of 50% or
above in the second year of the relevant Modern European Language. |
| Students may substitute Health Policy Analysis and Globalisation
and Public Health for one 20 credit Social Policy Honours course. |
