? Additional Class Information : Taught in 2 tutorial groups in Weeks 2-5 and 7-10. Students are assigned to a group at the beginning of the academic session. Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
- Students will understand the importance of listening skills for good musicianship.
- Students will understand the need for integration of their aural skills with analytical and theoretical knowledge, and develop the awareness required for effective self-directed learning. - Students will be able to recognise aurally various chords and scales. - Students will be capable of accurately transcribing various rhythmic and melodic dictations. - Students will be capable of recognising simple four-part harmonic progressions. Assessment Information
One class examination (50%) and one degree examination (50%).
