Agency and Reason (U04105)

This course examines the relation between agency and reason. It aims to understand the connection between agency and rationality, and to explore the implications of not meeting the standards of reasoning which rationality requires.

Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes

To develop further the philosophical skills, and to extend as well as deepen the philosophical knowledge, acquired in previous philosophy courses.

Assessment Information

This course will be assessed by very short (equivalent to approx. 250 words) weekly assignments (5%), one short (approx. 1500 word) essay (35%) due roughly half way through the semester, and a final ?take home? exam (60%).
