Acronym : BMS-4-PHcvp Course content: This course will cover the major cardiovascular diseases as well as current and future therapeutic targets. Topics to be covered include the role of the endothelium in protection against vascular disease, antioxidants and the pathogenesis of atherosclerosis that can result in thrombosis, myocardial infarction and stroke. Prevention of MI by pre-conditioning and consequences of MI, including the development of heart failure will also be discussed. Entry Requirements? This course is not available to visting students. ?
