Statistics and Experimental Design (U00614)

An introduction to good design and analysis of scientific studies of behaviour, the course covers issues in experimental design, descriptive statistics, and inferential statistics.

? Pre-requisites : This course has a named level 11 version, if you are a Postgraduate Student you must take the PG version.

Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes

An understanding of internal and external validity, pertinent experimental designs, data as distributions; a grasp of statistical inference, ability to employ a statistical package to run commonly used descriptive and inferential statistics, and to interpret the results.
