Data Protection and Information Privacy (P03008)? Credit Points : 20 ? SCQF Level : 11 ? Acronym : LAW-P-P03008 This course is intended to consider data protection law in Europe, and examine the legal instruments which regulate the processing of personal data and personal privacy. After introducing the core concepts of data protection and the principles of processing, seminars will explore topics which have particular relevance in commercial practice, including outsourcing, employment issues, and the role of the Information Commissioner.
