Acronym : HEA-P-Diss The MSc in Advancing Nursing Practice Dissertation can take the form of an emperical piece of nursing research or a proposal for a research project. It should consist of an extended review of relevant literature. Entry Requirements? This course is not available to visting students. ? Pre-requisites : Permission to 'Proceed to Dissertation' by Progress Board on basis of the accumulation of 120 credits on this programme and satisfactory performance in Professional and Personal Development and Research Methods in Nursing and Health Care courses. The objectives of the dissertation are to give the student an opportunity to undertake study in a particular topic and to formulate a reasoned research approach on the basis of a critical appraisal of existing theory and knowledge.
