Research Methods in Nursing and Healthcare: Work based/ related application (P02960)? Credit Points : 20 ? SCQF Level : 11 ? Acronym : HEA-P-RMNHWB All healthcare professionals are now expected to have a sophisticated understanding of how research methods and research findings can be exploited in the delivery, development and evaluation of services for the benefit of patients and clients. The organisational culture has been argued to be the most important factor in determining the level of integration of research in the work place. This course sets out to enable students to examine the application and use of research in the work setting and the inherent issues. Entry Requirements? This course is not available to visting students. ? The student will be required to submit a learning contract and evidence that the contract has been fulfilled. The student will provide a critical reflective account of the planning, implementation and evaluation of the project. These should be contained in a report of 4,000-5,000 words.
Equivalent alternative forms of assessment will be accepted. Assessments will be marked according to School/College policy and made available for moderation by the External Examiner.
