Forensic Medicine and Science Casebook (P02590)

A case book containing at least 6 themed cases based on the candidates' professional forensic employment incorporating a reflective element, critical analysis and ability to disseminate reports within a professional and academic community.

Entry Requirements

? This course is not available to visting students.

? Pre-requisites : Completion of the 120 PG Diploma in Forensic Medicine and Science, with 80 credits at MSc level. Candidates must, during the course of their employment, have contact with significant forensic case work (eg branches of medicine, law, science, nursing etc.) in order that they are able to complete the casebook and demonstrate practical work in a forensic profession. Candidates are further required to provide the name of a professional referee (who must be a senior member of staff within the candidate's Institution or organisation - ie Forensic Science Laboratory, Police, NHS) who is able to provide written evidence that the candidate completed the work claimed at a standard satisfactory to the employer.

? Costs : Candidates will be required to supply their own IT facilities, including the provision of appropriate internet connection. All costs associated with the production of the casebook will be met by the student.

Assessment will be according the Regulations governing the examination of Masters Disserations.
