The course is designed as an option for graduate students taking the MTh in Theology in History. It may also be taken as an option by students on other taught MTh programmes offered in the School of Divinity, subject to the agreement of the programme organiser.Students with a very limited knowledge of philosophy are encouraged to sit in on the undergraduate course ST2A, which covers issues in philosophy from Plato to Kant.

Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes

The students will be working through four main texts and gain knowledge with Henry Allison's Kant's Trasncendental Idealism, Frederick Neuhouser's Fichte's Theory of Subjectivity, Andrew Bowie's Schelling and Modern European Philosophy and Robert Pippin's Hegel's Idealism.
