An individual research project on a topic related to the keyboard repertory or to the history of keyboard instruments will inform their playing. Students will have worked with one teacher on a programme appropriate to this level. At the end of this semester students will have been prepared to give a 45 min. recital. Their complementary studies in Keyboard Organology will have informed their playing, as will issues of historical performance practice.
Assessment Information
Assessment of Early Keyboard Performance will be by a 45-minute recital to be given towards the end of April. The main part of the programme should be solo repertory, but some continuo playing will be required; details of this will be decided in consultation with the Course Organiser.
