Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
At the completion of the course students should have:
- a general knowledge of the phenomenon of new indigenous religious movements such as the AICs and the various discourses on the subject; - the ability to examine the reasons for their emergence and in what ways they have continued to be socially relevant in the immediate contexts they are located; - some basic insight into the relationship of the subject to wider discourses such as gender, modernity and globalization.
