† Entry to Honours normally requires a pass at the first attempt in Linguistics 2A and Linguistics 2B, with an average mark across these courses of 50% or above, and passes at 50% or above in the prescribed Social and Political Studies 2nd year courses.
D By special arrangement the dissertation MAY be supervised in Social Anthropology. Guidance is given in the Honours booklet.
‡ Social Anthropology core courses which are normally taken in 3rd year may be taken in 4th year as an alternative to 'Culture and Power'.
