Final Assessment
1 Unit of Assessment is allocated to every 20-credits of courses. Language Paper 1 counts as a 40-credit course. Orals count as 20-credit courses.
* No previous knowledge of Portuguese is necessary: a pass in a modern foreign language or a classical language at SCE Higher grade or equivalent evidence of linguistic proficiency is normally required.
†Portuguese may be continued into Honours as the second language in Curriculum A, but not as the sole language in Curriculum B.
** Entry into Honours normally requires (i) passes in all six subjects taken in the first two years, and (ii) a mark of 50% or above in the second year of the relevant Modern European Language.
