If the dissertation is taken in Celtic, a 20-credit unit towards the dissertation will be taken in third year, and a 20-credit completion unit in fourth year. Students opting for a Celtic dissertation will therefore be required to take a 20-credit unit towards their dissertation in third year together with option courses in Celtic totalling 40 credits, followed by a 20-credit completion unit in fourth year together with honours options in Celtic totalling 60 credits.
‡ Students intending to take the fourth year option Archaeological Fieldwork are required to undertake 10 weeks approved practical archaeological work in the vacations between the end of their second year of study and the beginning of their fourth year of study.
