| * Entry into 2nd year normally requires a pass in History
of Art 1, a pass in the outside subject and satisfactory progress in
practical work. |
| † Entry into the 3rd year normally requires passes in
all subjects taken in the first two years (with a minimum of 50% in History
of Art 2), achieved no later than May of second year; and satisfactory
progress in practical work. |
| ‡ Students who, at the end of either first or second
year, have satisfied the requirements set out above and who wish to transfer
to a degree in the College of Humanities and Social Science may count satisfactory
completion of one year of practical work at Edinburgh College of Art in
lieu of one outside subject and two years in lieu of two outside subjects. |
