Europe and International Migration (U03703)? Credit Points : 20 ? SCQF Level : 10 ? Acronym : SPS-3-IE This course explores how different European states and the EU have responded to the challenges of large-scale migration. It examines the causes and dynamics of migration and refugee flows to Europe since WWII, and compares state responses with respect to entry and migration control, asylum, and integration policies. The course analyses recent policy developments, including the emergence of a common EU policy on immigration, and the implications of 9/11 for migration control and multiculturalism.
