Adaptive Learning Environments 1 (Level 10) (U03012)

? Credit Points : 10  ? SCQF Level : 10  ? Acronym : INF-4-ALE1

Computer based tools and learning environments are increasingly used in teaching and learning. This course explores how such educational systems can be made more adaptive and interactive, in order to improve the quality and effectiveness of the teaching that they provide. The theoretical basis of adaptive learning environments will be examined. A number of techniques and examples of existing systems will be considered, This course aims to better equip students with the skills to design and evaluate intelligent and adaptive educational systems. The course presentation will comprise a mixture of lectures and group-based task-led seminars.
