The course covers 4 topics:

1. The spatial and temporal characteristics of the geomagnetic field.
2. Theories of the origin of the geomagnetic field.
3. The solar atmosphere and the solar wind.
4. Applications of geomagnetism.

Entry Requirements

? Pre-requisites : Year 3 of BSc (Hons) Geophysics or at least 40 points at level 9/10 from schedule Q (please see degree programme tables for more details).
