Student Selected Component 1 (U02021)

A student selected Clinical Options Project (COP) will be undertaken in small groups with the help of a tutor. The group decides how to tackle the problem, investigate it and deliver an answer in the form of a poster presentation.

? Normal year taken : 1st year

? Delivery Period : Semester 2 (Blocks 3-4)

? Contact Teaching Time : 3 hour(s) per week for 11 weeks

? Additional Class Information : The students are split inot three equal cohorts and the course is delivered 3 times a week on Tuesday afternoon, Wednesday afternoon and Thursday morning.

Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes

The aim is to emphasises the relevance and value of other parts of the curriculum, learn group skills and meet a variety of people including patients.

Assessment Information

Assessment of poster /viva for the group, and an individual mark based on course work.
