The course will give an integrated overview of the geochemical principles underpinning mantle evolution and igneous petrogenesis. It builds on knowledge and understanding gained in Year 3.
Assessment Information
100% continuous assessment based on an Excel-based numerical simulation of the evolution of the Earth’s crust-mantle system. The results of the simulation will be written up in the form of a scientific paper.
