All of the following classes
? Additional Class Information : Tutorials: F at 1110 and 1210 Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
(Calculus)
1. Derive properties of growth rates and use appropriate notation for basic functions (powers of a variable, logarithms and exponentials). 2. Discuss properties of trigonometric functions (e.g., differentiation and integration) and use them to derive identities. 3. Describe complex numbers and them to simple problems. 4. Find the power series expansion of a given function. 5. Solve simple differential equations. 6. Discuss and apply the basic notions of partial differentiation. (Algebra) 1. Discuss basic properties of graphs and use the ideas to derive new related properties or algorithms. 2. Solve simple recurrences in terms of growth rates and relate them to algorithms. 3. Discuss and derive basic geometric properties (e.g., of lines) in two and three dimensions. 4. Discuss basic properties of small matrices and relate them to geometry as well as apply relevant algorithms (e.g., Gaussian elimination). Assessment Information
