Operations Management 4 (U01301)? Credit Points : 10 ? SCQF Level : 10 ? Acronym : EEL-4-MNOPM The objectives of this course are to develop an understanding of the concepts, tools and practices relating to the operations of an organisation, with particular emphasis upon manufacturing, and also the ability to diagnose operational dysfunction and suggest possible solutions. It examines the process nature of operations, the strategic importance of operations and the issues influencing efficient, effective and adaptable operations. Entry Requirements? 1. describe the key operations management concepts covered 2. critically discuss the application of these concepts 3. demonstrate that they can: a) describe an operations scenario b) critically evaluate this scenario c) propose how these operations can be improved using the concepts covered during the course, explaining why the chosen option has been selected over others.
