Acronym : EEL-2-MED2B This course introduces the various design phases in order to gain an appreciation of the relevant codes and standards and carry out the analysis of a range of simple machine elements. It encourages innovation and establishes an awareness of reliability, ergonomics and terotechnology. Entry Requirements? Choose appropriate Factors of Safety 6. Design a shaft under static loading 7. Design a shaft with reverse bending and steady torque 8. Appreciate ASME shaft design data 9. Design radial clutches and drum brakes 10. Design axial clutches and disc brakes 11. Design flywheel for inertia considerations 12. Analyse and design V-belt system 13.
