Advanced Environmental Engineering Project 4 (U00434)

? Credit Points : 10  ? SCQF Level : 11  ? Acronym : EEL-4-CVAEP

This course is project based. The project options are based on the taught environmental engineering courses. The project briefs are issued in a formal class. This is followed by sessions in the Public Health Laboratory and in the computer lab. Students are introduced to the nature of the problem for which solutions are required, and are given appropriate starting references and datasets. Students are required to study individually or in working parties using the Internet, the library and any other available source of information to accomplish the specified task. The course focuses on the study and evaluation of practical urban surface water runoff treatment methods with constructed wetlands and sustainable urban drainage systems. Alternate project options may be on offer.
