Research Planning and Management in the GeoSciences (P02394)

? Additional Class Information : Classes of 2-3 hours once a fortnight for 7 weeks, normally Wed or Thurs am in S1.

Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes

- acquisition of research design, planning and management skills;
- acquisition of skills in the planning and conduct of fieldwork;
- knowledge of the research postgraduate monitoring and support in the School and beyond;
- knowledge of research postgraduate student activities across the School.

Assessment Information

100% continuous assessment:

3500-word assignment on an in-depth literature review related to the student's specific research project.
