This course and associated programmes will be assessed on the basis of a dissertation only.

Candidates will pursue their studies under the direction of University supervisors nominated by the Head of School and appointed by the Committee.

Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes

Students will gain detailed knowledge of one aspect of veterinary research.

Assessment Information

1 assessment = dissertation not exceeding 30,000 words.

The dissertation should represent extended scholarship, the result of original work or in-depth research of a topic. The work should demonstrate, amongst other things, advanced level of knowledge and understanding of the field of study, and an ability to undertake research. The work must be satisfactory in its presentation and reference to other sources. Since the time and resources available to the candidate are relatively restricted it is not expected that the dissertation (and other presented work, if applicable) will report notable or original contributions to knowledge.
