It will also consider the basic principles of good scholarship common to all fields of public health research. Students should develop an understanding of the ethical principles underlying public health research. By the end of the course, they should be able to identify the ethical issues that may arise when undertaking different types of research in Public Health and assess critically the published literature. They will also appreciate the principles of good scholarship in the context of public health.
