Acronym : MED-P-P01340 The aim of this course is to teach the basic skills and techniques of clinical hypnosis safely and appropriately and increase their understanding of the theory and application of hypnosis in dentistry for the dentally anxious patient. At the end of this module participants will be able to identify and select those dentally anxious patients who may benefit from hypnosis. The participants will be able to induce and deepen the trance and manage the patients whilst they are in a hypnotic state (including post hypnotic suggestion) for the purpose of reducing their dental anxiety.
Participants will be able to manage issues relating to post hypnosis. Participants will have a good understanding of the theory, research and current application of clinical hypnosis in dentistry. Assessment Information
