Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
By the end of the course the student will:
be able to explain the importance of context (disciplinary perspective) to selection of evaluation approacheshave knowledge of the variety of methods needed for evaluation and of the potential usefulness of mixed methods; be able to identify complex health care interventions and describe the phases in their evaluation and implementation;understand the importance of implementation research, in particular for complex interventionsappreciate the differences and similarities between approaches to evaluating health care interventions, as covered in this course, and complex interventions for health improvement (Evaluation course).
