This course will introduce students to planning of health services. It will include a description of planning theory, approaches to needs assessment, use of routine and other data, methods of consultation. Students will use the material in a group exercise throughout the course, in which they will work on a report planning the development of a stated service.

- Describe approaches to and influences on decision making
- Apply these principles to the development of a strategy and/or plan for a stated service
