Water Resource Management (P00729)? Credit Points : 20 ? SCQF Level : 11 ? Acronym : GEO-P-RMWRM This course aims to provide a theoretical and applied grounding in approaches to managing water resources within a catchment framework. It begins by examining the basic hydrological processes operating in catchments and then moves on to examine engineering and land management approaches. Topics on reservoirs, groundwater, hydropower, forestry, drinking water supply, flooding and modelling will be covered through case-studies and a field visit. This course would be appropriate for students who are interested in pursuing careers in environmental protection, environmental consultancy, water resources, forestry, hydrology. Entry Requirements?
