The dissertation allows students to demonstrate their ability to organise and carry out a major piece of work according to sound scientific principals. The types of activity involved in each project will vary but on completion of the dissertation students should be able to:
- Research the literature and gather background information. - Analyse requirements, compare alternatives and specify a solution. - Design and implement the solution. - Experiment and evaluate the solution. - Demonstrate written and oral presentation skills. Assessment Information
