Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes

1. To provide students with an exposure to the methodological challenge of research in international and comparative contexts (principally beyond Europe).
2. To explore the extent to which the research challenges for overseas and comparativist students are different from those facing home students engaged on locally focused research.
3. To introduce along with the focus on method some of the larger debates about knowledge systems.
