(1)  As an alternative, students may take the Mathematics courses prescribed for the Year 1 programme of the Mathematical Physics MPhys.
(2)  As an alternative, students may take the Mathematics and Mathematical Physics courses prescribed for the Year 2 programme of the Mathematical Physics MPhys.
(3)  Progression to the final years of the MPhys programme requires no less than than 55% overall in Junior Honours and an average of at least 50% in Section B of the core course examinations (Quantum Mechanics, Dynamics & Relativity, Statistical Mechanics, and Electromagnetism; from 2006/7, Quantum Mechanics, Dynamics, Relativity & Electromagnetism, Thermodynamics & Statistical Mechanics). This is in addition to the general progression requirements.
(4)  The Programme Guide gives details and constraints on choice of courses, to facilitate advance planning.
