The Contemporary French Novel (Ordinary) (U03266)? Credit Points : 20 ? SCQF Level : 9 ? Acronym : LLC-3-FR0061 This option is intended to give a fairly broad view of the different types of contemporary fiction through the study of individual novels which can be taken as representing many others. That being so, the critical questions raised will include various theories or ideas of what the novel is or can, perhaps should, be. All of the texts included here have not only attracted a great deal of public and critical attention, many winning prizes, but they can be fairly said to represent the principal avenues open to the contemporary fiction-reading public. Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
By the end of this course students will be expected to show the ability:
