Glacial Processes and Geomorphology (U02874)? Credit Points : 20 ? SCQF Level : 10 ? Acronym : GEO-3-GLACPROC To provide an understanding of the processes which create glacial landscapes and to show how this can contribute to the understanding of the global environment. In terms of transferable skills, students will be encouraged to read widely, think innovatively, write concisely, present oral critiques clearly and solve a field problem. Entry Requirements? Glaciological theory; how to link theory with landforms; how best to bridge the classroom/fieldwork divide; how to think critically, and how best to use specific transferable skills (reading, seminar presentation, group working, project presentation).
Assessment Information
Class assessment: Seminar presentation and field project report
Degree assessment: One two-hour examination (2 questions) AND One 2,000 word essay Exam times
