Subjects covered include the Qur'an, its history and content, and an introduction to the nature and teachings of the Hadith. A grounding is given in Sunni and Shia ideas, along with Sufi and other popular practices. Aspects of legal discussion, devotion and contemporary Muslim debates are addressed. Entry Requirements? Pre-requisites : A pass in Islamic History 1, or evidence of qualifications considered satisfactory by the lecturer in charge of the course.
