Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes

This course systematically develops students' competence to recognise the register, meaning, and cultural import of a German text, and to render that text appropriately in English. Cultural awareness and linguistic sensitivity, as well as an excellent command of written English, will be developed as professional-level translating skills.
