The course aims to develop an understanding of economic principles and apply them to current industrial issues. Topics covered include investment, Pricing, sustainability and the EU.

Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes

On completion of the module, students should be able to:

1. Assess the importance of the EU in trade

2. Appraise different methods of dealing with environmental issues in manufacturing

3. Apply economic principles to market situations (e.g. pricing and investment).
