Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes

Building on the knowledge of East Asian history and/or culture acquired through the first year courses to inform a more detailed study of East Asia in the modern period, the course aims to enable students to develop further their skills in use of library and other resources, oral presentation and academic writing.

Assessment Information

2 essays, 2 class exams. Coursework 40%; degree exam 60%.
