This course is concerned with English-Japanese translation. All the course materials are authentic English texts. The genres covered are fiction, non-fiction, tenchical writing and media discourse.

Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes

During the course, knowledge of translation techniques and Japanese usage will be built up gradually, so that students will eventually have the skills required to undertake substantial translation into idiomatic Japanese.
