Earth and Planetary Structure (U01797)

The course consists of 18 lectures, with some tutorials, inlcuding groups of students presenting results of guided independent learning. There is also one computer-based practical and problem sheets to support learning.

The cours covers the following modules:

* Cosmogeny and comparative planetology
* Composition and dating
* Physics of the Earth's interior

Entry Requirements

? Pre-requisites : Earth Dynamics, Introduction to Geophysics, Mathematical Methods 4, Applicable Mathematics 4, Physics 2A: Forces, Fields & Potentials. Other students may be admitted at the discretion of the Course Organiser. Some additional reading may be specified for such students.
