For the last two weeks, this will comprise one lecture followed by seminars. It is complementary to the 'Active Tectonics' course. Entry Requirements? This course looks at the complex interaction between tectonic uplift, surface and atmospheric processes, and to understand the dynamics of macro-scale landforms. Having first considered the importance of river processes, we will go on to look at how mountain belts grwon, and how we measure their growth at various stages. We will conclude by a look at the interdependence of local climate and topography in mountain systems. Throughout, concepts will be integrated with examples and recent attempts and modelling these systems.
