Endotoxin (U01014)

The introductory sessions will cover LPS structure and function and review/discuss definitions such as: endotoxin, sepsis, septicaemia, endotoxaemia, systemic inflammatory response syndrome, bacteraemia, etc.There will be student-led sessions covering the biological activity of endotoxin and possible strategies for prevention, intervention and treatment in endotoxic shock.
